Expected / projected DA slabs for Bank Employees

DA from February 2017:

Consumer Price Index for the month is October 2017 is released and is at 278 with an increase of 1 point.

As per the data there is a decrease of 2 slabs so far.      

Brace for an impact, we project an decrease of 16 slabs in DA from February 2017. ( February , March and April )

Expected or Projected DA increase for Bank employees from February 2017

What will be the DA increase for bank employees from February 2017?

Difficult question to answer, but we at Bank news-views try to project the DA increase from February 2017. We need at-least one month Data for doing so.

The first month Data on CPI(IW) will be released on 30th November 2016.

Bank employees may be knowing that the due the demonetization which is underway, we all are experiencing the flow of cash from general public to banks. This is directly related to inflation and we can safely assume that the inflation for the coming few months will be subdued. Under these circumstances please brace for an negative DA increase., i.e decrease in DA for bank employees from February 2017.

DA for February 2017 for bank employees is based on the index numbers of October, November and December 2016. The first month data is due on November 2016 wherein the CPI(IW) for the month of October is released.

So at least wait for 30th November to know the projections for DA for February 2017.
